The Monster World is filled with SO much lore, the Monster-Handlers can hardly keep up!
We’re asking YOU to share your most exciting Monster World theories with us for your chance to have your greatest Perplexed-Lore theories officially canonized!
How to Enter

Write a 500 word fan-fic that explores your Monster World Hypothesis!
In 500 words or less (~ 1 page), tell us your wildest Perplexed-Lore fan theory.
Please note: We are not looking for New Monster Discoveries (ie. No new Monster/Island designs/descriptions/sounds/etc). We are not looking for theories that would rewrite existing lore (ie. Don’t write a story about the Wubbox not being the true hex).
Some examples of Perplexed-Lore you could write about:
Your theories about what happened between the Cataclysm and the formation of the Monster World as we know it today
How King Meeb’s Monarchy is structured on Ethereal Workshop
Why Mammotts hate shoveling snow so much
Why Mimics and Gobbleygourds get along so well

Submit your Perplexed-Lore on the My Singing Monsters Website by Monday, June 2 at 11:00 AM ET.
Visit https://bigbl.be/huzzah and submit your 500 word Perplexed-Lore no later than 11:00 AM ET on Monday, June 2!
Please note: Any submissions over the 500 word limit will not be considered. Please ensure your submission is 500 words or less.
Prizes
We will select ONE winner, whose Perplexed-Lore will be canonized into the official My Singing Monsters lore with a video animated by the Monster-Handlers, and a custom My Singing Monsters stationary set!
We will also select 10 runner-ups, who will also receive a custom My Singing Monsters stationary set.
The winners will be announced in late June on all of our social media platforms, so keep your eyes peeled!

FAQ
Q: How long should my submission be?
A: Submissions must be 500 words or less (~ 1 page). Submissions over the 500 word limit will not be considered.
Q: Can I submit more than one Perplexed-Lore?
A: Please submit only ONE Perplexed-Lore entry. Submitting multiple entries will result in disqualification.
Q: How long does the contest run for?
A: The Perplexed-Lore Contest will run from Thursday, May 15, 2025 to Monday, June 2, 2025 at 11 AM ET.
Q: Can my Perplexed-Lore be a new Monster or Island discovery?
A: No, we are not looking for New Monster discoveries (ie. No new Monster/Island designs/descriptions/sounds/etc).
Q: Can my Perplexed-Lore rewrite existing lore?
A: No, we are not looking for theories that would rewrite existing lore (ie. Please do not write about how Wubbox isn’t the true hex).
Q: Can I use AI to generate my Perplexed-Lore?
A: No, you cannot use AI to generate your Perplexed-Lore entry. Usage of AI will result in your submission being disqualified.

CONTEST RULES
From 11:00 ET on May 14, 2025 to 11:00 ET on June 2, 2025 (“Contest Period”)

No purchase required. To enter the Contest, submit a 500 word essay to https://bigbl.be/huzzah.
If you attempt or are suspected of attempting to enter more than once or use robotic, automatic, programmed or any entry methods not authorized by these rules, it shall be deemed as tampering and will void your entries.
- ELIGIBILITY
Employees of Big Blue Bubble, as well as such employees’ immediate family (father/mother, brother/sister, son/daughter) or persons living under the same roof are not eligible to enter this Contest.
Entries must be original works written by the entrant. Generative AI tools, Machine Learning and programmatic audio or visual generative tool usage in the submission will disqualify the entry.
- PROCEDURE FOR AWARDING PRIZES
After entries are closed at 11:00 ET on June 2, 2025, employees of Big Blue Bubble will evaluate submissions and make selections based on their own set of criteria. From there, the Monster-Handlers at Big Blue Bubble will select winners.
Winners will be contacted by email within thirty days following the deadline for entries and should claim their prize as instructed by Big Blue Bubble. If a winner cannot be reached within 30 days following the first attempt of contact, the prize shall be forfeited and Big Blue Bubble has the right, at its sole discretion, to select another winner.
- DESCRIPTION OF PRIZE(S)
One grand prize winner will receive:
- Their Perplexed-Lore will be canonized into official My Singing Monsters lore
• The winner’s story will be included in a future update video or trailer, animated by the Monster-Handlers!
• A custom My Singing Monsters stationary set
Ten runner ups will receive:

- GENERAL RULES
5.1. To be declared a winner, the selected contestant must follow the entry requirements (Write a 500 word essay that explores your Monster World Hypothesis and submit to https://bigbl.be/huzzah.
5.2. By entering in the contest, and declaring their eligibility as stipulated in Section 2 of these rules; the entrant agrees that their name, image and/or voice may be used for purposes related to this Contest free of charge; and releasing Big Blue Bubble, as well as its respective directors, officers and employees (the “Contest Parties”) from all liability for any damage or loss arising from participation in this Contest or from the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize.
5.3. The prize shall be accepted as is and may not be exchanged or refunded for an amount of money, sold or transferred. No substitutions will be allowed. Any unused portion of a prize will be forfeited.
5.4. If the prize cannot be awarded as described in these rules, Big Blue Bubble reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize component with another of comparable value, as determined in its sole discretion.
5.5. Refusal to accept the prize releases the Contest Parties from any obligation toward the winner.
5.6. If a contestant makes any false statement, or misrepresents their contribution they will be automatically disqualified from the Contest.
5.7. The Contest Parties assume no liability for any loss, damage or injury, including without limitation: (i) lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late, destroyed, illegible or incomplete entries; (ii) loss, theft or damage to software or computer or telephone data, including any breach of privacy; (iii) fraudulent calls; (iv) inability of any person to participate in the Contest for any reason including mistaken addresses on mail or e-mail; technical, computer or telephone malfunctions or other problems with computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, or software; congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination of the foregoing; (v) damage to any person’s computer, including as a result of playing or downloading any material relating to the Contest; (vi) any delay or inability to act resulting from an event or situation beyond their control, including a strike, lockout or other labour dispute at their location or the locations of the organizations and businesses whose services are used to administer this Contest; or (vii) prizes that are lost, damaged or misdirected during shipping.
5.8. Big Blue Bubble reserves the right to cancel or suspend this Contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond their reasonable control corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Big Blue Bubble reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
5.9. All personal information, such as name and contact information, is collected by Big Blue Bubble solely for the purposes of administering this Contest, is not stored, and shall not be used for any other purpose without your express consent. 5.10. If the identity of a contestant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the email submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the contestant. A selected contestant may be required to provide proof that (s)he is the authorized account holder of the Discord Profile associated with the selected entry. All entries must be submitted from a valid Discord Account. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry in this Contest will be the Contest server.
5.11. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, using any robotic, automatic programmed method that artificially increases the odds of winning or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by Big Blue Bubble. Big Blue Bubble is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this Contest.
5.12. Big Blue Bubble reserves the right to amend the Contest rules or to terminate the Contest at any time without any liability to any contestant. Any amendments to these Contest rules will be posted on the Website.
5.13. By entering, you agree to abide by the Contest rules and the decisions of Big Blue Bubble, which decisions are final and binding on all contestants.
